Choirs Beyond Stigma
Trim Women’s Shed and SpeakUp SingOut Music School are delighted and excited to present this exciting, dynamic and harmonious concert for your listening pleasure.
Featuring two choirs, as well as a special guest performance from artist Eimear Crehan, this night promises to bring something for everyone.
The first choir is SUSO Community Choir – a fantastic 40 piece choir based in Kilcock who have been together for 10 years now. In that time they have performed at many events and concerts as well as fundraising for charity, working with artists such as Mundy and Eimear, as well as playing Vantastival music festival. They can’t wait to share their joy and love for singing with you all!
The second choir is Trim's very own women’s shed choir – The Treble Makers. This 70 strong choir are so excited to play a home town show and have worked so hard to put on a fantastic high quality show. While this group have only been together for a year, they have gone from strength to strength and are ready to rock it!
With songs across many different genres and decades, both these choirs are bound to entertain – there is something for everyone!
We will also have a raffle on the night with some fantastic prizes!
All proceeds from this event go directly to funding creativity projects for young people in the developing world who are living with HIV.
This initiative, in association with the incredible Irish NGO ‘Beyond Stigma” is such a worthwhile cause and supports many young people in Zimbabwe, Ghana and Rwanda. The funds from this particular concert will go directly towards a cultural exchange in September, where 3 young extremely talented musicians from Rwanda – Eunice, Alain and Bienvenue - will be coming to Ireland to participate in workshops, teach people here about their music, and perform in the National Concert Hall as part of Eimear Crehan’s Grá Mór show on September 6th 2025.
Your support for this work, and the ongoing work of Beyond Stigma, is so gratefully received and recognised, it truly makes a difference.
