The Collector - The Presence of Absence

The Presence of Absence tells the semi-fantastical story of The Collector - a recluse who has closed himself off from the outside world & built his own world from the discarded scraps of society.

A Contemporary Circus production, The Presence of Absence relates the character’s backstory through a variety of media as he moves through his own world, gradually rebuilding his past.

Incorporating projection mapping, physical theatre, circus, dysfunctional furniture and a unique soundscape, this story is a beautiful exploration of social isolation and celebrates the unexpected in the seemingly eccentric.

With an intricate set design, detailed choreography and the unexpected use of everyday objects, writer and performer Will Flanagan brings his background in circus & physical theatre to the fore.

Directed by award winning choreographer and director Eddie Kay, The Presence of Absence explores themes of social isolation, mental health and finds the wonder in the seemingly eccentric.

Age Guidance: Suitable for all ages, however is not specifically aimed at children
