The Playboy of the Western World tells the story of Christy Mahon, the stranger who arrives into an isolated public house claiming he has killed his father. Instead of being shunned, Christy becomes a local hero. And, he attracts the romantic attention of Pegeen Mike, the publican’s daughter, but there are plenty of other interested ladies!

Just as all seems to be going well, a second stranger unexpectedly arrives!
