With a once-promising musical career ended by a hearing condition that makes him highly sensitive to sound, Niki (Leo Woodall) now spends his days working as a piano tuner with mentor Harry (Dustin Hoffman). While working on highly valuable pianos throughout New York, he meets music conservatory student Ruthie, as well as has a run in with safe-cracker Uri. When Harry suddenly goes into debt and Uri discovers Niki’s acute ability to crack safes by ear, Niki finds his budding romance with Ruthie threatened in this character-driven, playful drama-thriller with a heart of gold.
